The Menlo Men's Soccer Team is proud to announce their newest signing, Brentwood native Nicholas Krahnke to their 2012 roster.  Krahnke, a center midfielder, is set to enter his Oaks career as a freshman and will bring a whole host of honors and accolades with him.

While attending Heritage High School Krahnke was the varsity team captain for his final three years with the program, taking home team MVP honors as well as a spot on the Bay Valley Athletic League All-First Team.  Along with his dominant high school play, Krahnke enjoyed tremendous success on the club circuit.  The Brentwood native spent 14 years playing for the East Diablo Soccer Club and in the Northern California Regional Academy League, and was also a Region IV Olympic Development Program player.

"I've been working my whole life to fulfill my dream of obtaining a college degree as well as playing at the collegiate level, and I finally made it," said Krahnke on the prospects of playing on the Oaks.  "I'm a rare homegrown player and I will make my new home with Menlo and my hometown of Brentwood proud."

Krahnke will join the Oaks fresh off the school's most successful season in the program's history.  Menlo ran the table to an undefeated California Pacific Conference season, culminating in a Cal Pac title and trip to the NAIA National Tournament.
