Sophomore Cady Chessin once again proved herself as one of the best 123 pound wrestlers in the nation, claiming fifth place at the WCWA National Championships to earn All-American status for the second-straight season.

Chessin, Menlo's highest ranked finisher, rambled off a pair of wins on Friday to advance to the semifinals where she was due to face defending national champion Sarah Hilderbrandt of King University. In a highly-competitive match, Hilderbrandt, who would go on to claim her second consecutive national title, downed Chessin 10-6. In the consolation semifinals, Chessin was pinned by Bree Rapoze of Missouri Baptist before claiming a 10-0 tech fall over Montana Drum in the fifth place match to secure her All-American status.
