Iman Kazem was one of two freshmen to earn All-American status over the weekend and was the top finalist of the two, finishing fifth at 155 pounds. Kazem did it the hard way, losing her second match of the day 9-6 to eventual third place finisher Niauni Hill of Lindenwood Belleville. Kazem rallied back to win two straight matches by tech fall to advance to the consolation semifinals against Michelle Organ of Campbellsville. Organ and Kazem locked into an epic match but Kazem ultimately lost a close 12-8 decision to move to the fifth place match. In the fifth place match, she need just one minute to pikc up a tech fall win over Tatum Sparks of Southwest Oregon CC to claim fifth place.
