Swart appeared in 16 games, making 18 starts in 2016 and posted an impressive 0.828 goals against average, the best single-season mark in Menlo women's soccer history. Swart had seven shutouts, and made a 89 saves on the campaign, finishing the year with an 85.6 save percentage. After just two seasons at Menlo, Swart is now the career leader in saves, shutouts and goals against average. She was named an NAIA Third Team All-American earlier this month. A native of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Swart transferred to Menlo last season as a sophomore and has started virtually every game since. Swart spent the summer of 2016 in Rio as an alternate of the South African Olympic team.
