Sophomore catcher Daniel Comstock is one of just four players to repeat on the All-NAIA West Group Team and broke a number of Menlo College baseball records in the process. The Petaluma native was the only Menlo player to start all 57 of the team's games this season and led the team with a .350 batting average, 24 doubles and 39 RBIs. He also scored 29 runs, ripped seven home runs and tripled twice for a team leading .587 slugging percentage and .434 on-base percentage. Comstock's 24 doubles places him first all-time on the Menlo Baseball single-season doubles list, overtaking last season's NAIA West Player of the Year Jimmy Bosco for the honor. Additionally, Comstock has inked himself in the record books in multiple categories including: sixth in career hits (132), fifth in career doubles (35), second in single-season hits (72), and tied for sixth in walks in a single season (28).
