ATHERTON, CA -12/2/02- Melina Hutchinson looked impressive and took the top spot 121’s at this weekend’s Pacific Open.

In a talented weight class that included nationally ranked wrestlers, Hutchinson took first place in the round robin format. Tanya Miyasaki pulled off an upset when she defeated San Francisco State’s Julie Gonzlez to finish 2nd, while Tabitha Coffey placed second at 107’s. Lindsey Owens lost a close 5-4 overtime match to Pacific’s Desiree Lockhart to claim second while Rocky Magdaleno established herself as a solid contender with a second place finish at 133’s.
