ATHERTON, Calif.
   Menlo extended their winning streak to three tonight with a nine point win over Claremont Mudd-Scripps and a score of 81-72. The game was close from the opening tip to the final buzzer with Menlo going a point surge with five minutes left in the second half to push the lead out of reach for the Athenas.

Menlo was down early and had to fight back to take a slim 36 to 33 lead at the half. Both teams had their foot on the gas coming out of the intermission, but Menlo would prevail. The Lady Oakswon the game 81 to 72.

Erika Garcia who had 12 points and 11 boards and Elisa Ayala who scored 11 points and grabbed 12 boards earned their second double-doubles of the season.

The Lady Oaks had four players in double figures, including Monique Ayers-Calvello with 18. Leading the pack for Menlo was Brittany Taylor who lit up the floor making 50 percent of her shots. She put up 23 points and grabbed four boards and six assists.

Menlo will take their high-powered offense on the road Friday to Oregon, where they will play Oregon Tech on Friday, November 26 and Southern Oregon on Saturday, November 27.

Menlo will return to home court action on December 3 when they play Lewis-Clark State College.
