Menlo College senior Matheus Barbosa had the game winning goal in the Oaks' California Pacific Conference championship-clinching win and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the dates of November 7th -13th, 2011.

The Goiania, Brazil native had four shots, two of which were on goal, and one goal, the game winner, in the Oaks' 1-0 week. On Thursday, the Oaks clinched their first California Pacific Conference title in men's soccer with a 2-0 win over Holy Names University in Oakland. As of November 2nd, Barbosa was second in the conference in shots (3.15) and in game winning goals per match (.31) and was third in goals per match (.69).

Menlo now advances to the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship. Their first round match, which is nationally played at host sites, will be in Marietta, Georgia versus Southern Polytechnic State University. The match time is set for 10 am (PST).
