The 2011 California Pacific Conference Postseason Awards were announced today and Menlo came away with a number of significant accolades.  Three Lady Oaks found themselves on the All-Conference team in Steffany Dudley, Mallory Todd, and Kristina Roome, while Dudley, Todd, and Alison Hammond took home even bigger achievements for their outstanding 2011 campaigns. 

Dudley, the freshman from Sandy, Utah earned the Freshman of the Year Award thanks to a dominant first season in Menlo blue that saw her lead the team in goals with 14 and assists with 31, both amongst the most in the conference.  "Steff worked tirelessly all season long and proved she was one of the best strikers in the conference," claimed Oaks Head Coach Scott Myers.  "She is a complete player as a freshman that will no doubt continue to get better as the years go by." 

As far as Todd is concerned, the senior from Walnut, CA went out on top by winning the Co-Defender of the year honor after serving as the anchor of Menlo's stingy "D."  "Mallory was such an amazing athlete for us this season," remarked the aforementioned Coach Myers.  "She most certainly earns the award as both All-Conference and Defender of the Year, as there have been very few people to come through this conference and leave an imprint in coaches minds as she has."     

Allison Hammond had a standout junior campaign, her first with the Lady Oaks in winning the Newcomer of the Year accolade.  The native of San Jose finished second on the squad in goals with eight as she proved to be a force to be reckoned with all year long. 

"In general, I am very proud of the ladies," commented Coach Myers.  "They worked hard all season long and our record does not show the level of talent we have on the team, but these awards show that we have some of the best players in the conference."
