ATHERTON, CA –10/21/02- Eight different players recorded goals for Menlo College as the Oaks soundly defeated the Bruins of Bethany College 11-0.

Menlo took the early advantage when Luis Vazquez picked up his second conference goal of the year on a penalty kick. Five minutes later, Phil Ching’s cross field pass found a streaking Juan Rocha, whose shot was too hot to handle, bouncing off Bruin goalkeeper Joel Chodakowski’s hands into an open net. Vazquez finished off the first half scoring by picking up two more goals, all on assists from Chris Antinucci.

The Oaks offensive show did not stop in the first half, as Menlo tacked on seven more goals on their way to the 11-0 win. Three of the goals were scored on penalty kicks off the legs of Nate Lepani, Peter Johnson, and Moises Benito. The final goal of the day came from Jake Jackson off an assist from Antinucci, his third of the day.

The Oaks (9-9) travel to Dominican College on Wednesday for a crucial conference matchup against Dominican College.
