OAKLAND, CA – Freshman Kyle Sattler’s eight kilometer time of 31 minutes, 38 seconds paced two Oak runners in the top 12 as the Menlo College men’s cross country team placed second in Cal-Pac standings at Friday’s 4th Annual Holy Names University Cross Country Invitational. The women also finished second in the Cal-Pac standings as freshman Katherine Fulp-Allen set the pace, finishing the five-kilometer course in 21:51, good enough for 5th place individually.

Crossing the line right after Sattler in the men’s race was freshman Sean Weeks (31:54) and sophomore Ryan Cramer (32:09) finished in 10th and 11th respectfully.

Menlo finished with 67 points, behind William Jessup University.

The Warrior’s Joe Kaufman won the men’s race at 26:30.

Also finishing in the top 15 for the women were freshman Laurin Lane-Daniels (22:13) in 8th, sophomore Shareese Mulholan (22:19) in 9th, and sophomore Sara Fulp-Allen (27:07) in 12th. The Oaks completed the race with 59 points while CSU East Bay won the event with 56.

Marie Vanzandt of CSU East Bay captured the women’s title at 20:12.

The Oaks resume action Fri., Sept. 13 at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, CA.
