Junior Bryon Wesley Currently Leds The Oaks with 15.3 ppg.

ANGWIN, CA – Junior Bryon Wesley’s 18 points led all scorers for the night, but a late run by the Pioneers of Pacific Union handed the Oak’s their second loss in the Cal Pac Conference. The Oaks fell, 74-71 to the Pioneers last night at the Pacific Auditorium.

Senior Aaron Gentry led the team with 10 rebounds as senior center Israel Torres added 16 points and three rebounds. Freshman David Renfroe tied a team season-high with three block shots.

The Oaks led 32-30 at the end of the second half after shooting only 39% to the Pioneers 44%. The teams finished tied in rebounds with 32. Menlo shot 8 for 21 from behind the arc as Pacific Union went 0 for 8.

Pacific Union spread out their offense with four players earning double-digits. The Pioneers were led by junior Benny Gipson who finished with 17 points and sophomore Dustin Miracle who added 16 points.

The Oaks (6-6/2-2 Cal Pac) return home this Saturday to host William Jessup University. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
