MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – The Menlo College cross-country team held their first Cross Country Invitational under the helm of head coach Diljeet Taylor yesterday afternoon at Vista Slope. The Oaks sophomores dominated the races as Sean Weeks captured the men’s individual title at 33:03 while Katherine Fulp-Allen secured the women’s individual title in 21-minutes, 6-seconds.

The Menlo College men’s team claimed first place in the eight-kilometer race with 24 points while Pacific Union finished with 31 points. The Lady Oaks posted a second place, finishing the five-kilometer course with 38 points behind a strong Pacific Union team (34 points). Mills College wrapped up the standing with 49 points.

Senior Mike Jeffery came in third place for the Oaks in a time of 34:47. Other point earners for Menlo College included freshman Jarrell Price (35:57) and junior Robert Davis (36:12), who finished 5th and 6th respectively.

Following Fulp-Allen in the women’s race was junior Shareese Mulholand (23:35) in 4th place and Maria Henriquez (25:27) in 7th place.

“I was very pleased with how the team did overall,” stated head coach Diljeet Taylor. “Everyone made drastic improvements in their times since last weekend.”

Menlo College travels to Angwin, California next Friday to compete in the Pacific Union College Invitational. The start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
