Sophomore Katherine Fulp-Allen and Senior Laurin Lane-Daniels
OAKLAND, CA –The Menlo College women’s cross-country team earned a first place finish in the 5th Annual Holy Names University Cross Country Invitational last Friday afternoon. Sophomore Katherine Fulp-Allen took the individual title in a time of 20-minutes, 22-seconds. Senior Laurin Lane-Danielscrossed the line a second later to earn second place.

Junior Shareese Mulholand was the next Lady Oak to cross the tape, for a eight place finish in a time of 23:52. Freshman Maria Henriquez (25:11), Ashlee Evans-Smith (27:31) and freshmanJacque Davis (28:19) finished 11th, 13th, and 14th respectively. Junior Ester Diez rounded out the Lady Oaks runners with a 17th place finish at 32:14.

With the low score of 35 points in the 5,000-meter race, Menlo College defeated Holy Names University (39 points) and Pacific Union College (48).

Menlo College travels to San Mateo for the California Pacific Conference Championships this Friday. The race begins at 1 p.m.
