HAYWARD, CA – Senior Bryon Wesley and junior Brandon Cochran each registered double-doubles while leading the Oaks to a 74-63 victory over No. 3 Cal State East Bay tonight in the semi-finals of the California Pacific Conference Tournament.

Wesley, who was named Cal Pac Defender of the Year for the third consecutive time, led Menlo to victory with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Cochran added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore Tim Kees finished with 14 points and junior Kyle Adams notched 10 points and eight rebounds.

The lead exchanged hands in the first half until a Wesley tip-in buzzer beater sent the Oaks into halftime with a 24-19 lead. Menlo held onto the lead in the second half, but a late run by CSUEB cut the lead to within three with three minutes left.

Junior guard Shea Frazee recorded a game-high 19 points for the Pioneers.

The Oaks (17-9) will face the No. 4 seed William Jessup Warriors (18-12) on Saturday in the Cal Pac Tournament Championship. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II National Tournament.
