ROCKLIN, CA - The Menlo College men’s golf team kicked off the 2008 season yesterday on a sunny 65-degree afternoon competing in the William Jessup Invitational at Whitney Oaks Golf Course, designed by Johnny Miller.

Menlo earned a fifth place finish on the tough tree linked golf course with narrow fairways. Freshman Jens Johansson led the Oaks with an 83. Senior Reo Kawai shot a 90 and sophomore Mark Mizogughi followed with a 95.

The Oaks next tournament is March 20th as they host the Menlo College Tournament.
