ATHERTON, CA – Senior Bryon Wesley earned the California Pacific Conference Defender of the Year honor for the third straight season. Wesley was also named to the Cal Pac Conference First Team and junior point guard Chris Cobb garnered Honorable Mention honors.

Wesley has started in every game of his four-year colligate career at Menlo College. The six-foot-three forward became Menlo's all-time rebounding leader with 573. He is tenth in the conference in defensive rebounds with 4.1 per game and seventh in steals (1.8 spg). Wesley was a two-time Cal Pac Player of the Week this year (2/18-2/24).

As quarterback of the offense, Cobb is ranked 9th in the Cal Pac in assists per game (2.4). He is second on the team in minutes with an average of 32.1 per game. “Cobb is a fearless leader, a great competitor and great on ball defender who leads our team with his heart and sole,” commented Head Coach Brandon Laird. “He is always capable of making big shots at the end of the game”.

Menlo finished the regular season with an 18-9 record, setting a record for the most wins in a season since 1990. This year’s squad also racked up the most conference wins (13) since joining the Cal Pac in 1998. The Oaks are currently on a nine-game winning streak, the longest in the past 15 years.
