PALO ALTO, CA – Freshman Jens Johansson earned a second place finish after shooting 1 under par 71at the Menlo College Golf Tournament held at the par-72, 6,833-yard Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course yesterday.
Cal State East Bay’s Jeff Murphy captured first place shooting 2-under par and teammate Les Teuteberg finished in third with a score of 72 to lead the Pioneers to its second consecutive title.
Junior Christer Asberg finished 24th with a score of 86. Rounding out the scoring for the Oaks were sophomore Mark Mizoguchi and freshman Richard Tamborini who finished with a 93 and 97 respectively.
The Oaks will next compete in the California Pacific Championships held at Metropolitan Golf Course in Oakland, CA. The tournament will be hosted by Holy Names University on April 3rd.
