Angwin, CA - Katherine Fulp-Allen was Menlo's top finisher at the Pacific Union Invitational last Friday, placing second in the women's event as the Oaks kicked off their cross country season.

Menlo's men and women each placed third as a team in the three-school event. Mills won the women's race, followed by Pacific Union, while Holy Names and Pacific Union beat out the Oaks men.

In the women's race, Fulp-Allen finished in a time of 21 minutes, 42 seconds, behind only Mills' Lupe Cazares (20:49). Carla O'Connell placed 10th (24:55) for Menlo while Ashlee Evans-Smith was 14th (25:11), Jacquelyn Davis 31st (30:16), and Peggy Estevez 35th (34:31).

Sean Weeks was the Oaks leader on the men's side, placing eighth in 32 minutes, 59 seconds. Aaron Garcia was ninth (33:37), Mike Rigni 13th (35:17), Sabas Cruz 14th (35:27), and Eric Dawson 15th (35:39).

Menlo will compete in the Cal Pac Preview Meet hosted by Simpson on Friday at 10 a.m..
