REDDING - Katherine Fulp-Allen led Menlo's shorthanded cross country squad at the Cal Pac Preview Meet last Friday, unofficially finishing in sixth place in the women's race.

Fulp-Allen's sixth place finish did not count toward team totals because the Oaks did not field a minimum five-person team in either the women's or men's races.

Jacquelyn Davis finished 28th, Kristyna McDonnell 31st and Peggy Estevez 32nd for Menlo in the women's race. In the Men's event, Sean Weeks finished 20th and Sabas Cruz was 25th.

Cal State-East Bay's Nancy Velazquez took first in 19 minutes, 23 seconds and was followed by teammates Kristin Parker (19:46) and Johnna Hotchkiss (19:51), Simpson's Katie Garringer (20:00), Pacific Union's Audrey Reitsma (20:00) and Fulp-Allen (20:02).

Simpson's Ezra Mutai (27:37) and Henry Kosky (27:55) led the pack in the men's race ahead of Holy Names' Juan Gomez (28:36) and Cal State-East Bay's Elliot Nicholson (28:46).

Menlo competes again on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Holy Names Invitational at 1 p.m. in Oakland.
