BELMONT - In an otherwise nondescript outing for the Menlo cross country team, Katherine Fulp-Allen was again the Oaks top finisher at the California Pacific Conference championships on Friday at Crystal Springs Course.

Fulp-Allen placed ninth in the women's race in six minutes, 44 seconds; 17 seconds off the pace set by winner Kelly Guerreo of CSU-East Bay. Ashlee Evans-Smith placed 19th for the Oaks (7:22) followed by Carla O'Connell (8:04) in 35th place, Jacquelyn Davis (9:42) in 53rd and Kristyna McDonnell (11:31) in 60th.

Menlo's women finished in seventh place in the team standings. CSU-East Bay was first, Mills second and William Jessup third.

In the men's race, Menlo was led by Aaron Garcia's 21st-place finish in 32 minutes, 31 seconds. Sean Weeks was 24th (33:24), Sabas Cruz 25th (33:27), Eric Dawson 30th (34:51) and Michael Righi (35:04) 31st for the Oaks.

Menlo's men placed sixth in the team standings with William Jessup winning the championship ahead of CSU-East Bay and Holy Names. Ezra Mutai of Simpson won the men's race in 27 minutes, 31 seconds.
