ATHERTON, Calif. - Menlo College did quick work on Mills to finish its first weekend of California Pacific Conference play undefeated, beating the visiting Cyclones, 25-7, 25-11, 25-6, on Saturday night inside a steamy Haynes-Prim Pavilion.

The Oaks improve to 2-0 in the Cal Pac and 5-7 overall while Mills is 0-2 and 1-4. Menlo plays at Bethany on Friday at 7 p.m. before a non-conference rematch at UC Santa Cruz on Saturday.

Menlo was dominant against the overmatched Cyclones, finishing with a .390 team hitting percentage while limiting Mills to -.140. The Oaks also had eight blocks in the match, which took less than an hour to complete.

Deborah Bekowies finished with seven kills and five blocks, Katie Pendley had seven kills and three blocks, and Sarah Poole had six kills and three blocks. Stephanie Williamson totaled 19 assists and nine digs.

Cristin Allen led Mills with four kills and seven digs.
