ROCKLIN, Calif. - Everything appeared cut and dried for Menlo College then the third game came. The Oaks withstood a late rally by William Jessup to pull out a 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 17-25, 15-13 victory to remain undefeated in California Pacific Conference play on Saturday night.

Menlo improved to 4-0 in the Cal Pac and 7-9 overall with a Sunday night match versus Pacific Union (1-3, 1-8) looming. It was a key conference victory for the Oaks as William Jessup entered unblemished in Cal Pac play. The Warriors are now 4-1 in conference and 9-6 overall.

Senior middle blocker Deborah Bekowies led Menlo with 14 kills and four blocks, finishing with a .313 hitting percentage. Setter Stephanie Williamson had a game-high 42 assists, Sarah Poole finished with 10 kills and two blocks, Kelsey Bailey had 24 digs, and Mia Ortiz tallied 23 digs.

Jennifer McNamara had 22 kills for William Jessup while Patricia Plummer totaled 40 assists and Geanna Foster 11 kills.
