Menlo vs. Pacific Union - Game Stats

ATHERTON, Calif. - Odd timing did nothing to throw Menlo College off its groove as the Oaks swept to a 25-10, 25-12, 25-11 victory over Pacific Union College on Sunday night in California Pacific Conference play.

The Oaks opened the first game with five straight points and the second with four straight, and trailed just once early in the third game. Menlo finished with a .391 hitting percentage while limiting the visiting Pioneers to .000.

Menlo spread the wealth statistically with seven different players finishing with at least four and no more than eight kills. Deborah Bekowies and Katie Pendley totaled eight kills apiece while Sarah Poole added six and Selina Bumb five. Stephanie Williamson had four kills to go with 30 assists, Brittany Sudduth had four kills and 11 digs, and Kelsey Bailey also tallied four kills.

Menlo is now 5-0 in Cal Pac play and 8-9 overall. The Oaks have won 19 consecutive conference matches dating back through last season. Menlo plays at NCAA Div. II Academy of Art (15-6) in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
