ATHERTON, Calif. - In what must have been one its most efficient and consistent efforts of the season, a hot Menlo College squad toppled Simpson 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 to remain unbeaten in California Pacific Conference play at Haynes-Prim Pavilion on Friday night.

The Oaks finished with a .365 team hitting percentage, with 39 kills on 85 total attempts and just eight errors in the attack. Meanwhile, the Red Hawks managed as many kills and errors, 16, on the night.

Deborah Bekowies was at the forefront of Menlo's assault, finishing with 10 kills and a .600 hitting percentage. Sarah Poole finished with five kills and four blocks while Katie Pendley and Brittany Sudduth totaled six and five kills, respectively. Setter Stephanie Williamson's distribution was key as she tallied 30 of Menlo's 32 assists. Shelby Goldman had a team-high nine digs.

Highlights were few and far between for Simpson, who never seriously threatened the Oaks, though it was even at 9-9 early in the first game. Menlo scored 11 of the next 12 points to put the game away.

Nicole Eileen and Jenny Hopkins finished with seven and six assists, respectively, while Jenna Chandler led the Red Hawks with four kills.

Menlo is now 6-0 in the Cal Pac and 10-9 overall, winning each of its last four contests. The Oaks have won 20 consecutive conference matches and host second place Holy Names (4-1, 6-13) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
