The Oaks lost to NCAA Div. I foes Cal State Bakersfield and UC Davis 39-3 and 34-10, respectively, before NAIA No. 5 Southern Oregon topped Menlo 43-6. On the season the Oaks are 3-11, though each loss has come at the hands of an NCAA Div. I, Div. II, or nationally ranked NAIA opponent.

Menlo's Christian Martinez showed his mettle by winning a pair of matches. The 141-pound sophomore defeated Cal State Bakersfield's Erik Martinez 3-0 - to secure the only Oaks points from the dual - and UC Davis' Morgan Flaharty by major decision, 14-5. Martinez lost his final match of the day to fifth-ranked Kyle Wirkuty, 8-4.

At 165 pounds, Adrian Gonzales defeated UC Davis' David Watts by a 9-5 decision and also took all of Menlo's points from the Southern Oregon dual by forfeit. Mike Cavanaugh won a 5-4 decision against UC Davis' Josh Esparza at 174 pounds.

In other duals, Southern Oregon defeated UC Davis 24-16 and lost to Cal State Bakersfield 29-12. Cal State Bakersfield knocked off UC Davis in a Div. I matchup, 30-12.

Menlo's next dual is on Friday at 1 p.m. against No. 7 California Baptist at San Francisco State. The Oaks compete in the California Collegiate Open at the same site the following day at 9 a.m.
