Moorhouse, a junior, placed second at 125 pounds while the freshman Kawano was fourth in the same weight class. It was the Oaks final tournament prior to the NAIA West National Qualifier on Feb. 20. Menlo has a home dual against San Francisco State at 7 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Moorhouse won three decisions on his way to the final, two of them against NCAA Div. I opponents. He opened the tournament with an 18-16 win over San Francisco State's Dylan Barrales before dispatching Cal State Bakersfield's Tyler Iwamura 10-7 and Stanford's Matt Sencenbaugh 3-1. Moorhouse lost in the championship match to Cal State Bakersfield's Frank Lomas by technical fall.

Kawano lost a 10-5 decision to Iwamura in his first match before reeling off four consecutive victories. He defeated Simon Fraser's Pierre Bondoc 13-7, Mark Bleuze by technical fall, San Francisco State's Ricky Bernal 11-0, and Sencenbaugh 11-4. Kawano lost to Iwamura again, 17-9, in the match for third place.

At 149, Cody Gibson won a pair of matches while Adrian Gonzales did the same at 165. Drake Medeiros won once at 125 for the Oaks.
