ATHERTON, Calif. - Menlo College junior guard Julian Harris was named California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It is Harris' second such honor this season.

Harris played a huge role in leading the Oaks to a pair of home wins last week. The smooth lefty made 10-of-13 field goals, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range, for 26 points in an 84-60 victory over Simpson on Thursday. During one stretch Harris drained five consecutive 3-pointers and scored 19 points as Menlo used a 25-7 run to increase its lead from seven to 25 points.

Facing the only Cal Pac team without a conference loss on Saturday, Harris treated Holy Names much the same as he had treated Simpson two nights earlier. He canned a long pull-up jumper with 32.7 seconds left for the last of his 23 points to win the game for the Oaks, 67-66, and hand the Hawks their first Cal Pac defeat.

On the week Harris averaged 24.5 points while shooting 72 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from beyond the arc. Harris leads Menlo in scoring, averaging 15.8 points while shooting a blistering 45 percent on 3-pointers.

Menlo is 3-4 in the Cal Pac after winning three of its last four games and 7-13 overall. The Oaks play at California Maritime (6-1, 15-10) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
