ATHERTON, Calif. - Menlo College sophomore Jessica Cobb was named California Pacific Conference Pitcher of the Week on Thursday. Cobb picked up a pair of complete-game victories last week to earn the honor.
Over 14 innings in her two starts, Cobb did not allow an earned run while striking out seven and walking three. She allowed five hits in a shutout victory over Eastern Oregon, 5-0, and four unearned runs on five hits in a 9-4 win against Bethany. Cobb has won three games this season.
Menlo is 6-22 overall after splitting a Thursday doubleheader with St. Catherine. The Oaks return to action with a Cal Pac doubleheader versus William Jessup at 1 p.m. a week from Friday.
