ATHERTON, Calif. - Four Menlo College standouts played their way onto the All-California Pacific Conference Softball Team when it was announced this week. Seniors Courtney Emry and Angela Woerz, and freshmen Nadia Le'i and Ululani Reyes were honored to varying degrees for the Oaks.

Le'i was the only Menlo player to earn a spot as a First Team All-Cal Pac member while Emry and Woerz were each named Second Team All-Cal Pac. Reyes was an Honorable Mention All-Cal Pac selection.

Le'i enjoyed a tremendous freshman season which saw her come alive in Cal Pac play. Starting all 16 conference games - and 36 overall - in right field, Le'i led the Oaks with a .297 batting average in Cal Pac play while posting a .486 slugging percentage. In conference play, Le'i tied for the team lead with 11 hits while hitting two doubles, a home run, a triple, and driving in three runs. She also had a team-best four outfield assists.

Emry started every game she played in as a senior, splitting time between catcher and third base over 34 games. Emry finished the season with a .284 batting average and in a three-way tie for the team lead in hits with 31. She led the Oaks with 19 RBI's while smacking six doubles, a home run, and a triple. Emry was a unanimous First Team All-Cal Pac selection and a NAIA All-West Region selection as a junior.

Woerz did as much of her damage on defense, starting all 38 games in center field and ranging to make a number of great catches throughout the season. She finished the season with a .968 fielding percentage and four assists. At the plate, Woerz hit .284 with 31 hits and 12 RBI's. She had six doubles, a triple, and three stolen bases. Woerz was an Honorable Mention All-Cal Pac selection as junior.

Reyes proved to be one of the best defensive infielders in the conference as a freshman, starting all 38 games at shortstop while showing a great ability to make plays on the move and throw runners out from all over the infield. At the plate she batted .267 overall with 31 hits, two doubles, and five RBI's. Reyes was also an excellent base runner, stealing 14 bases on the season and scoring a team-high 21 runs out of the leadoff spot.

Menlo finished the season 6-32 overall and 1-15 in the Cal Pac. The Oaks lost just four student-athletes to graduation, though the contributions of Emry, Woerz, third baseman Jamie Pauley, and second baseman Alisha Vegas are sure to be missed.
