Women's Soccer - Fri, May. 27, 2011
The Menlo Lady Oaks Soccer team is proud to announce eight new signings to add to their 2011-2012 roster. Menlo will welcome Steffany Dudley, Victoria Piazza, Elanna Arceo, Ariella Peraza, Ellisabeth Chubb, Erin Bedell, Alison Hammond, and Kayla Cisneroz to the Oaks Soccer program.
 
Steffany Dudley - Sandy, Utah - Sparta United Premier - Skyline High School - Undeclared - Forward
 
Steffany is a very smart player and will no doubt continue her scoring ways. She comes into Menlo having scored over 20 goals in 3 seasons for her high school team. She has the size and speed to make defenders track her at all times throughout the game. A combination of size, speed, and talent will most certainly help her break scoring records at Menlo.
 
"I am very excited to have Steffany with us in the fall as she is going to be part a dynamic front for Menlo that has struggled in recent years to score a large amount of goals. She has a great work ethic and will no doubt push the players around her to excel."
 
Steffany has not immediately chosen a degree but she is very excited about the idea of living near San Francisco and in the Silicon Valley.
Victoria Piazza - Tracy, California - EC United - Tracy Joint Union High school - Business Management - Defender
 
Victoria is a coming into menlo after a very successful playing career with EC United. She helped lead a very solid backline in which scoring was very difficult against. Victoria brings a great deal of leadership qualities to the team and will no doubt be a leader on and off the field.
 
I am very excited to have Victoria within our program and she an exceptional young lady. She is by far one of the most organized and mature recruits I have ever recruited. I am excited for her future here at Menlo as I think she will help lead the program in the future."
 
Victoria will come in and study Business Management at Menlo. She is easily recognized as a stellar student and Menlo is very fortunate to have her….
Elanna Arceo - Woodland Hills, California - Real So Cal-Club Team - Chaminade College Preparatory-Business and Media Management- Midfield
 
Elanna is a very dynamic player. She has the capability of playing in the midfield or on the front line. Her role with the Oaks will most certainly place her in the outside of the midfield where she can use her speed and strong leg.
 
"I am very excited to have Elanna within our program. She is going to help lead a young and old midfield which will no doubt become a power in our conference. She will be great for our team as she has the ability to play centrally as well as out on the wings. She has a great knowledge for the game which coupled with her skills makes her a great addition to our program.
 
Elanna is coming into Menlo to participate in a new Media Management major. She is an exceptional student and the school is very fortunate to have her within the classroom walls.
Ariella Peraza - West Covina, California - - Ramona Convent Secondary School - Psychology - Goalkeeper
 
Ariella comes into a program in which no goalkeeper is in place. She has the ability to earn a starting position right away as a freshman. She is a very dynamic goalkeeper who has the ability to make saves throughout the goal. She has great hands and very quick feet and is a tireless worker.
 
"I am very excited to have Arielle within our program. She is a great person and will no doubt compete immediately for a starting position in the net for the Oaks next fall. She has the ability to most certainly be one of the top goalkeepers in our conference. I can't wait to see how she stacks up against the older goalkeepers throughout the season."
 
Ariella will be joining Menlo as a Psychology major.
 
 
  
Ellisabeth Chubb - Los Angeles, California - New Roads School - Business Management - Midfield/Defender
 
Elisabeth comes into us from southern California where she was a successful student and athlete for the New Roads School. She was a captain for her high school team during her senior year. She is a tireless leader on and off the field. She will certainly bring her leaderships skills to Menlo and continue her success.
 
"I am very excited to have Elisabeth come in as she is one of the most determined individuals I have ever been involved with throughout my career. She will be great for us by playing in several positions for us in the fall. "
 
Elisabeth will be joining Menlo as a Business Management Major
 
Erin Bedell - Redwood City, California - Foothill Community College - Business Management - Forward
 
Erin has the ability to change the game at any point with her speed and skill. Erin is a natural leader and will come into the young program as a leader and a role model. Erin has spent the last two seasons playing with Foothill Community college for former Menlo Head Coach, Owen Flannery. Erin will look to come into Menlo and make an immediate impact on the lineup.
 
"I could not be happier to have Erin in our program. Erin is an amazing individual who is very mature beyond her years and will no doubt help lead this program into the future. I fully expect Erin to come into the program and compete for a starting role. More importantly she will infect her passion into her teammates. She has a lot to offer our program and I am very excited to have her with us for the fall season. I could not have asked for a better all around individual to join our program"
 
Erin will be joining Menlo as a Business Management Major.
 

Alison Hammond - San Jose, California - West Valley Community College - Business - Defender
 
Alison will be coming into Menlo from West Valley Community College where she was a major contributor for the women's team over the past two years. Alison will come to Menlo as a Junior in hopes of completing her business degree. Alison has the ability to anywhere on the flank as she is a very patient and skilled player.
 
"I am very excited to see what Alison can do for us. She has a great passion for competing and she will certainly bring that fire into our program. I expect that Ally will push for a starting position immediately and have no doubt she will contribute heavily for the Oaks this fall. She is an exceptional student and will help provide the leadership both on and off the field for us."
 
Alison will be looking to complete her Business degree after spending the first two years at West Valley where she earned her AA.
 
Kayla Cisneroz - Morgan Hill, California - Live Oak High School - Undecided - Defense
 
Kayla makes the trek up the 101 to Menlo in the fall to start her athletic career with the Oaks. Kayla is a a multisport athlete and will begin the fall with participation with the women's soccer program.
 
She will then quickly transition in the winter months to participate in the softball program.
 
"Kayla is going to bring us a lot. She has the ability to play in a couple different positions and I am very excited to see here compete for us. She has an amazing work ethic and drive that will certainly take her a long way. I think she will grow into one of the best players in our conference and help fill some of our holes from our players who have left the program. "
 
Kayla will come into Menlo in the fall looking to either major in Business or Psychology.
 
Elaini Vargas - Napa, California - Vintage High School - Psychology - Midfield
 
Elaini has spent the last few years playing within the San Juan Spirits Organization out of Northern California. Her team was part of the new ECNL season in which they travel across the country to play in events against teams from the highest of quality. Elaini has been a strong part of her club program for several years and gained great experience by playing against some of the top teams in the country.
 
"Elaini will come into us in the fall and make an immediate impact. I expect her to work with our older players in the midfield and compete for a starting spot right away. I am very excited to see her grow and develop over the next four years. I have no doubt she will develop into one of the best midfielders in the region."
 
Elaini will be joining Menlo to pursue a degree in Psychology.
 
Alexia Martinez - Brawley, Califronia - Brawley Union High School - Psychology
 
Alexia comes to us from down in Southern California having earned three varsity letters while attending Brawley Union High School. She is a very accomplished student during her four years at Brawley Union, graduating #13 in her class and earning honors distinction. She earned a President's Scholarship here at Menlo with her stellar marks as a student. Alexia stated, "I'm excited for my Menlo experience because of the new surroundings and the different interesting people I'll get to meet."
 

Coach Myers on Alexia, "I am very excited to bring Alexia into Menlo. She has a great work ethic and has big things in store for her. Menlo got a great person when they got Alexia to commit to the school, but we have an amazing athlete and teammate within our program when she committed to play soccer. She will no doubt be a leader on and off the field."

Alexia will be joining Menlo to pursue a degree in Psychology.
