Angwin, CA:

The Lady Oaks continued their Cal Pac roll, making it three straight conference victories with a four set "W" against Pacific Union on Saturday night.  Menlo now boasts a 6-2 conference mark and evened their overall record to 10-10 after their tough 0-6 start.

The two teams split the first two sets with Menlo winning the first one by a final of 25-19, before the Pioneers responded with a 25-21 victory.  Like they have done all season, the Lady Oaks showed their resiliency by taking home the final two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-19 to close out the match.

Amanda Sutter added to her impressive 2011 campaign as the senior from Orangevale, CA led all players with 14 kills while adding 16 digs to her stat line as well.  Sutter was able to earn a remarkable 30 kills in a 24 hour span after the Lady Oaks knocked off William Jessup the night before.

Along with Sutter, junior Stephenie Monderine put together a stellar showing with 12 kills and 14 digs while the combination of junior Angie Larsen and senior Jessica Atthowe produced 42 Menlo assists.

The Lady Oaks will take a brief break in their Cal Pac slate with a trip to UC Santa Cruz to take on the Banana Slugs this Friday, October 28.  First serve is scheduled for 7:00pm.
