Tim Tatum Selected as Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Menlo College senior Tim Tatum had a double-double in points and rebounds and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of February 6th through 12th, 2012. This is Tatum's second player of the week award.
Tatum, a native of Vacaville, California, scored 16 points and had 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal in the Oaks' lone game last week. Menlo won 79-59 over UC Merced in Atherton on Thursday. As of February 4th, Tatum was first in the conference in rebounds per game (9.5) and defensive rebounds per game (6.9), third in points per game (15.8) and field goal percentage (51.8%), fourth in free throw percentage (77.6%) and twelfth in blocks per game (.28).
Menlo has two California Pacific Conference games this week to wrap up the 2011-2012 regular season. The Oaks will travel to Vallejo to take on CSU Maritime Academy on Thursday and will host Holy Names University in Oakland on Saturday.
