ATHERTON, CA –9/29/03- Led by Javier Mere Prado, Menlo College finished in fourth place at the recent Pacific Union Invitational.

Prado, a sophomore, finished the 5-mile race in 31:39, good for sixth best. Teammate Ryan Cramer came in at exactly 34:00 minutes, much to the delight of head coach Tim Dempsey.

“I was very pleased with their (Prado and Cramer) performances. It was a very challenging course and they ran well. They both made marked improvements from USF to now.”

CSU-Monterey claimed the top spot, as they did in the women’s division, with 17 team points followed by CSU-Hayward. Holy Names rounded out the field with 83 points.

Menlo College returns to action this Friday when they take part in the CSU-Monterey Bay Invitational at 2:00 pm.
