Des Moines, IA:

Session IV of the 2012 NAIA National Championship is officially in the books as the second day of the tournament comes to a close.  Menlo will enter their final day in Des Moines, Iowa with one wrestler still in contention after Angel Garcia defeated Dakota Wesleyan's Richard Rios in the 6th round of the Consolation Bracket to secure a spot in the 133lb. 7th place bout.  As a team, the Oaks currently sit in 22nd out of the field's 35.

Garcia defeated Rios, 5-3, in a thrilling battle that needed overtime, before dropping his next match, 4-2, to Concordia's Adam Joseph.  Garcia will take on Midland's Matt Katusin in the tournament's 7th place showdown, set to begin tomorrow at 10:00am central time.

Menlo's other grappler that was still in the hunt as Session IV began, David Rios, was upended by Campbellsville's Nick Waldrop, 7-2, to officially end his run in Iowa.
