Check out the Oaks Cheer Squad in the 2012 USA All Star & Collegiate Championships!

For the first time in this history of the program, Menlo's Competitive Cheer Squad took part in the USA All Star and Collegiate Championships.  The two day event in Anaheim, California featured some of the best squads in the nation, including a whole host of top caliber NCAA Division I schools.

The Oaks not only held their own when the lights were brightest, but they came away with an invaluable experience that should pay dividends as the program continues to develop.  "To go through an experience where you're put on the biggest stage like this was a great opportunity," commented first year Menlo Head Coach Kezia Molinsky.  "We set a number of goals before hand and we were able to accomplish all of them."

Menlo compiled a two and a half minute routine that combined stunting, jumps, tumbling, and dance.  They performed the routine once on Sunday and then again on Monday, and according to the aforementioned Molinsky, things went off without a hitch.  "I am very proud of our team, they thrived in an environment with some much pressure" remarked Molinsky.  "They have come so far this year and have had an amazing attitude and work ethic."
