Courtney Calicdan Selected as Volleyball Player of the Week

Menlo College sophomore Courtney Calicdan had twenty-four kills and twenty eight digs in two California Pacific Conference matches last weekend and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the dates of September 24th through 30th, 2012. 

The Honolulu native had 24 kills and 28 digs in a 2-0 weekend for the Oaks. Menlo won 3-1 over Simpson University on Friday in Atherton and won 3-0 over Pacific Union College on Saturday in Angwin. As of September 27th, Calicdan was first in the conference in hitting percentage (.274), second in service aces per set (.4), ninth in kills (2.29) and tenth in points (2.77).

Menlo College has two matches this week as they take on NCAA Division III member Mills College in Atherton on Friday and will take on UC Merced in Atherton on Saturday.
