Angwin, CA:

The Oaks posted five runners in the top ten, and finished second as a team to cap off a very impressive showing at the Pacific Union Invite up in Angwin.  Sophomore Hayley Heryford led the charge with a fourth place showing in the field of 29, finishing with an overall time of 23:24 in the 5k.

"I was really impressed with our team's overall effort," Menlo Head Coach Sean Weeks said on his group's stellar performance.  "Having five runners in the top ten is a huge accomplishment for us."

Right behind Heryford was sophomore Emmeline Wang, who wrapped up a fifth place finish with an ending time of 23:58.  After the race, the aforementioned Coach Weeks was enthusiastic about his dynamic duo of Heryford and Wang.

"Emmeline came in as our fifth runner, so to finish second on our team and fifth overall says a lot about her," Weeks said.  "Haley continues to get better with every race.  You can really see her hard work paying off."

The Oaks concluded their top ten dominance with Sherry Sabado, Jessica Weise, and Jessica Marso finish eight, nine, and ten respectively.

Simpson took first in the event with three Red Hawks taking home spots one, two, and three.  Rebekah Studebaker paved the way with a first place mark and a time of 23:05.

It's the Cal-Pac Preview on deck for Menlo, set for October 19th in Rocklin.
