Merced, CA:

Three sets were all it took for Menlo to prove their dominance Friday night, as the Lady Oaks left Merced (7-18, 4-6) with a clean sweep over the Bobcats for their 11th consecutive win.  The 25-17, 25-16, 25-11 victory puts Menlo just one win away from wrapping up an undefeated California Pacific Conference season.  The Oaks now post an 8-0 Cal Pac mark with a 14-6 overall record.

Junior Nicole Yap and senior Stephenie Monderine paved the way in the overwhelming "W," as the pair represented two out of only three players on the court with at least a .350 hitting percentage.  Yap racked up a match high 11 kills and made just one attack error in accumulating a .370 hitting percentage, while Monderine stacked up six kills, zero attack errors, and led the Oaks with 14 assists.

The dynamic duo's combined one attack error was part of team wide theme for the match, as Menlo made just ten attack errors as oppose to 29 for Merced.  Sophomore Kathryn Blake led the Bobcats with six kills in the loss.  Senior Mika Mendoza and sophomore Courtney Calicdan tied for the match high with 14 digs.

Now just one tilt stands between the Oaks and an undefeated conference campaign.  Friday, November 2nd Menlo will clash with William Jessup at 7:30pm, and as if the match needed any extra drama, it will be the Oaks' Senior Night inside Haynes-Prim Pavilion.
