ATHERTON, Calif. – Menlo College Women's Wrestling will send a plethora different wrestlers to the 2016-17 Women's College Wrestling Association Nationals. The 2016-17 WCWA Nationals will take place on the weekend of February 10th and 11th in on the campus of Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Menlo will look to build upon a program-best seventh place finish in Nationals one year ago, where five wrestlers earned All-American status. Sending several wrestlers from the program seventh-ranked program in the country, Menlo College comes in with five individuals ranked. The ranked wrestlers representing the Oaks will be Hiba Salem, Cady Chessin, Solin Piearcy, Iman Kazem, and Precious Bell.

Hiba Salem wrestles at the 101 weight class where she is ranked #5 in her respected class. Salem is a sophomore from South San Francisco California. Salem started the year ranked #4 in her weight class and has been ranked in every poll this year.

Cady Chessin is the second Oaks who will participate at the WCWA Nationals. Chessin comes in ranked #3 in the 116-pound weight class. Chessin is a senior from Los Gatos, California. She is also the fourth three-time All-American in Women's Wrestling history and will be going for her fourth All-American honor at Nationals. Chessin has also been ranked in every poll that came out this season.

Solin Piearcy is another Oak who will travel to Oklahoma City; she is ranked #5 in the 136 weight class. She is participating in her first WCWA Nationals as she is a freshman from San Jose, California.

Iman Kazem is tied for the highest ranking in her weight class with Chessin as Kazem is ranked #3 at the 155 weight class. Kazem is a sophomore from Tracy, California who will be going her second All-American honor.

The final Oak who will attend the Nationals is Precious Bell, a freshman from Lancaster, California. Bell is ranked #7 in the 170 weight class and is going for her first All-American honor.
