TURLOCK, Calif. – Menlo College Men's Track and Field sent a small contingent of competitors to the Warrior Invitational hosted by Stanislaus State on Saturday afternoon and had a strong showing from all. Jonnythan Munkholm, who qualified for NAIA Nationals in the triple jump a week ago continued his strong season while Elijah Noel, Bryce Howard and Joe Alvarez did the same to fill out the Menlo roster on this day.

Munkholm continues to impress and do so in multiple events. He placed second overall in the long jump with a personal best mark of 21-9.5 then followed it up with a personal record in the 400m at 52.97. Elijah Noel continues to improve as a competitor in the 100m this season and added a personal best race of 11.06 to finish sixth overall.

In the field events, Bryce Howard was very close to following the theme of personal bets in the discus. The senior finished seventh overall with a toss of 133-4.25, just off his lifetime best. Joe Alvarez hit a personal best mark in the hammer throw to round things out for the Oaks. Alvarez finished with a personal best of 132-8.75.

The whole team will be back in action next weekend with a full slate of competition on tap. From Thursday through Saturday the Oaks will compete at the Stanford Invite, the San Francisco Distance Carnival and the Chabot Invite. Follow along on www.menloatheltics.com to follow the action.
