Menlo College Women's Basketball Head Coach Shannon Spataro has added another addition to the 2017-18 squad with the recent signing of Encinal High School standout Mira Love-Sangco. A 5-3 point guard, Love-Sangco was a four-year starter and four-year all-conference honoree for the Jets. As a freshman, she was an honorary mention, and then earned Second Team All-League honors as a sophomore. That season she averaged 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game and helped the team to a second place finish in the NCS. As a junior, she improved her scoring average to 11 per game and had 2.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.9 steals per game to earn honorable mention honors and help the team to an NCA championship and Norcal Regional Runner up honors. In her senior season, she was named first team All-League for her efforts as a team captain.

"We are very excited about Mira joining the Oaks," said Head Coach Shannon Spataro. "She is a tireless worker and a dynamic player that is great at creating for others as well as herself.  She brings a great skill set to the defensive end of the floor as her quickness and anticipation are excellent.  We are looking forward to Mira having a very successful career at Menlo!"

In addition to her four years of basketball experience, Mira also played two years of varsity softball at Encinal. She is the daughter of Alvin Sangco and Dina Love-Sangco and has three sisters.
