Burlingame, CA - 9/27/04 - Karen Lunares finished eighth overall in the NDNU/Menlo Cross Country Invitational. In a strong showing, Menlo finished third behind the strong running of Notre Dame and Cal-State Hayward.

A mere 2 minutes and 19 seconds behind first place finisher Ashely Watkins from Bethany, Menlo\'s Karen Lunares finished with a time of 22:00. In a field of 37, Menlo had three runners place in the top 20. Joining Lunares in the top 20 were Brenda Nassaka (24:05) and Shannon Riley (25:01).

The lady Oaks look to finish strong in the Pacific Union Invitational in Angwin, CA on October 8th.
