Oakland, CA 10/18/04 - Sergio Lopez placed in the top twenty among all Division III athletes and 37th overall Friday at the Mills College Invitational.

The Mills Invitational included Division I, II and III athletes running the 5k course. In a total field of 68, Lopez narrowly missed finishing in the top half with a time of 33:36. Among the 48 division III athletes, Lopez finished 17th. Sophomore Ryan Cramer was three seconds behind with a 33:39 time good enough for 18th and 38th overall. John Hayworth and Scott Perez finished 24th (34:48) and 27th (40:23) respectively.

The Mills Invitational marks the end of regular season for the men\'s cross country team. The team is now preparing for the Cal-Pac Championships to be held on Friday, October 29th with the site to still be determined.
