Oakland, CA 10/18/04 - Melissa Gutierrez and Becky Tavera finished 24th and 25th respectively out of a field of 72 total athletes, including 19 Division I runners.

In the 3k run, Gutierrez finished with a time of 25:35, good enough for 24th among division III runners and 43rd overall. Teammate Becky Tavera was the next to cross the finish line placing her 25th among division III athletes and 44th overall.

The Mills invitational marks the end of the regular season for the cross-country women. The women are now training for the Cal-Pac Championships held on Friday, October 29th with the site to still be determined.
