The Menlo College Men and Women’s soccer teams begin their California Pacific championship run this weekend with first round games.

The men, seeded fourth, will travel to Cal State Hayward to play top-seeded Holy Names at 3:45 PM. The women, seeded second of the four teams in the playoffs, host Dominican College this Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM on the Menlo football field. Coach Owen Flannery is thrilled about the chance to host and show the Menlo Community what his team can do in their first ever playoff appearance.

“When I heard that we came in 2nd place in league I couldn’t believe it. Only two seasons ago we were ranked last in league and last in the NAIA. We have made great strides in only two seasons and with the majority of our player’s freshman and sophomores this should only be the beginning of what is to come. I look forward to watching us play our first playoff game in schools history.”
