FARGO, ND. –11/12/2004- Menlo Completed the regular season Friday night as they lost to Concordia-Moorhead 30-0 in a game played in the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D, ending a streak of 52 straight games in which the Oaks had not been shut out. The last time Menlo was shut out on October 9, 1999.

Dustin Guglielmelli was 17-for-34 for 107 yards with one interception. Adam Hazel came on in the fourth quarter and went 6-for-13 for 46 yards. Keith Marin had a solid game for the Oaks, with seven receptions for 55 yards.

Concordia allowed Menlo only five total rushing yards for the game. That is a season low, and one of the lowest totals ever recorded in school history. For the game, the Oaks gained only 158 yards in total offense. Denied their ability to run, Menlo resorted to passing the ball 47 times during the game. Concordia unleashed their aggressive pass rush and sacked the two Menlo quarterbacks on six occasions.

On offense, Concordia racked up much of their yardage on the ground. The Cobbers finished with 327 total yards, 247 on the ground. While the Oaks were busy turning the game into a passing scrimmage, Concordia relied on their traditional run attack - rushing the ball 55 times in the game.

Brian Schumacher and Ed Oehlers each scored two touchdowns and totaled over 32 carries and 110 rushing yards. Schumacher finished the night with 15 carries and a game-high 68 rushing yards. Oehlers bowled his way to 50 yards on 17 carries.

The trio of Matt Price, Bryan Lohman and Kenny Wolfe led the Oaks defense. Price and Lohman had 11 total tackles each, while Wolfe made 10 total tackles. Lohman also had two tackles for a loss. Galen Perry and Michael Johnson both recorded interceptions for the Oaks.
