Head Coach 1st season

Atlee Frechette enters her fifth year at Menlo College and first as Head Men's Volleyball Coach. Prior to starting the Men's Volleyball program, Frechette spent the last four seasons as Head Women's Volleyball Coach for the Oaks. In her inaugural season at the helm, Frechette led the Oaks to a 19-7 overall record and their second consecutive Cal Pac championship. In 2014, she guided the Oaks to a third consecutive Cal Pac Championship, giving them a total of eight since 2004. In the past two seasons, Frechette has coached three first team all-conference, four second team all-conference, and three honorable mention all-conference players. Also under her leadership, players earned conference player of the year honors in 2013 and 2014 and one was named conference newcomer of the year in 2013. Not only did her coaching efforts lead to another Cal Pac title in 2014, but they were good enough to earn her Cal Pac Co-Coach of the Year honors. In addition to success on the court, the Oaks have had seven players named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes under her tenure and were named a 2014-15 NAIA Scholar-Team for their 3.28 team GPA.

Prior to her impressive intro into the collegiate head coaching ranks in 2013, Frechette spent the two seasons prior as the head coach for nearby Menlo School in Atherton, Calif. There, Frechette led the team to two successful seasons. In 2011 the team placed in the West Bay Athletic League (WBAL) and made a trip to the Central Coast Section (CCS) division IV semifinals. In 2012 the team earned co-champion honors in the WBAL and again reached the CCS division IV semifinals. From 2010-2015, Frechette also spent time as a coach for the Monsoon Volleyball Club and Encore Volleyball Club in Redwood City, Calif.  Most recently her 2015 Encore 18-1 team finished top 8 in Northern California and earned a bid to the Junior National Volleyball Championships in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Frechette played collegiately at NCAA Div. I CSU Sacramento where she was named 1st team all-Big Sky Conference in 2005 and 2006. She was also named to the Big Sky Conference all-tournament team three times throughout her collegiate career. Frechette went on to continue her volleyball career professionally and in 2012, she played a season for the NCVA Dream team that competed in the inaugural USA Volleyball Premier League. She also competed as a professional in various countries around the world. In 2008, Frechette competed as an outside hitter for Bogor, Proliga in Indonesia. From 2008-10, Frechette headed to Spain where she played for Voley Murica, Superliga 2 in Spain. Her time overseas proved to be an integral piece in her development both as a player and a coach.

Frechette graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in 2007. She currently resides in Portola Valley, Calif. with her husband Jonathan.
