Left handed junior Kevin George was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 33rd round, 987th overall to become the seventh Menlo College baseball player drafted in the last seven years. George is the second Oak in the last two seasons to be selected by the White Sox, joining Max Dutto how was chosen in the ninth round last season.
Kevin George was Menlo's relief ace all season long, appearing in 23 games and tossing a bullpen-leading 50 innings. The Peteluma, Calif. native struck out 69, walking just 19 during his stellar junior campaign. He amassed a 3-4 overall record and led the team in saves with four. Opponents hit just .180 against the southpaw.
