Deadlocked 2-2 in the closing moments of the Oaks southern California road trip, Menlo's Eric Angell found the back of the net to secure a thrilling 3-2 Oaks win over Soka University, last Sunday (Sep. 30). 

In the 89^th minute, the senior midfielder from Redwood City set up for a free kick, before blasting one just inside the near post to send his Menlo teammates into an absolute frenzy down in Aliso Viejo.  The exciting victory completed a perfect 2-for-2 road swing, moving the Oaks overall record to 4-1-3.

Angell's late heroics proved to be his second score of the match, after jump starting the Menlo offense with a goal in the fourth minute.  He now has four goals and one assist on the season.
